Ego raging, longing and bored.

“Excite me, lift me up, high above the horde.”

Wanting to be admired, respected, adored.

There is little rest or peace.

Ego leading, directing, in control.

“Listen to me follow me, all life will unfold.”

Full of ideas, totally in charge.

There is little rest or peace.

Ego energy, rest for today,

Contemplate, examine, see what others say

About life and love, perhaps another way.

There is a need for peace.

Ego distracting, I want to see beyond

Our limited vision of this world’s bonds.

I know we are more. The beautiful spirit of man

Gives me rest and peace.

Ego loved, you brought me to this place,

Laugh and sing, I paint love upon your face,

But I am eager to see more and far beyond,

And you can rest in peace.
